Fundamentals

Learning to make great photographs only takes place when technical information can be applied and expanded on in a real world environment.

The first two Center Fundamentals Treks will have a common theme / goal: "Creating a Sense of Space - Capturing a three dimensional world in a two dimensional photograph".  These Treks will be a study in how to design compelling photographs by the use of tonal separation, leading lines, vanishing point, textures, depth of field, and light and shadow.  All of these elements help give a feeling of depth to a photograph. All of the four locations have been chosen because they  offer a diverse and bold use of design.  These Treks will build on the fundamental techniques that you already know and add the design elements that make great images whether they are photographs of architecture, landscapes or people.
